John Cole at Balloon Juice pretty much nails how I'm beginning to feel about President Obama's noble goal of "bipartisan" governing.

I really don’t understand how bipartisanship is ever going to work when one of the parties is insane. Imagine trying to negotiate an agreement on dinner plans with your date, and you suggest Italian and she states her preference would be a meal of tire rims and anthrax.

Don't get me wrong.  I still think bringing everybody together to work out a compromise is a noble goal.  I just have no idea how he can pull it off (without sacrificing his own political views) when the only "compromise" the minority party is willing to accept is completely capitulating to their every demand.
