When I connect to a desktop from my favorites, RD Tabs seems to be taking a long time and not completing the connection. If I change focus to another tab, it will finish the connection right away.

Does it happen consistently or just occasionally? Does it just show the spinning circle icon or does it get to a blank screen? Does the app otherwise appear to slow down or act sluggish? Do other apps act sluggish? Also, do you see similar behavior when using the built-in RDP client (mstsc.exe)?

The reason I ask those questions is I've seen cases where Windows 10 (Fall Creators, I believe is the only one reported so far) slows down in a general sense, but RDP is almost completely unresponsive, even to where Task Manager can't kill RD Tabs or mstsc.exe, it just gets frozen or nearly frozen, and the only resolution is rebooting. I have never been able to nail down an exact cause, but where it was consistent is that it always happened on the same PCs and only those PCs, leading me to believe it was some sort of configuration unique to those machines and not others. I haven't seen it on older Windows 10 builds (yet) and I haven't tested Redstone 4 via Insider. The ones I have seen it on were all Dell laptops (but I can't say for certain Dell was only affected, as it's a pretty small sample group).

It doesn't seem to be any slower than 2.1.25 once I connect to a tab. It is very consistent in behavior (whether a VPN connected RDP or local server). I get the spinning circle. As soon as I click on another open tab, this one will connect right away. (< 2 seconds once I change focus). So at least a workaround for now. If I don't change focus, it took 39 minutes for a connection to complete on its own.

I am running Win10 1709 on a Lenovo ThinkPad. I have not seen the behavior you mention of the entire RD Tabs becoming unresponsive, even with quite a few tabs open at once.

BTW, loving the tab coloration option! I can set different clients to different colors to help keep track!

That's definitely different than what I've ever seen before. Does it require any other preconditions? Like, does it happen on the very first remote connection after starting or does it happen after it's been open a while? Does it happen on every connection or only one then it's good to go until you close it again?

Oh and does it only happen on one computer? If you have other computers you can install RD Tabs on, that might be helpful. If you can reproduce on more than one machine, maybe we can find something in common between them all.

I might have to send you a special version with debug tracking enabled on the connection process so I can see what's happening in the background.

If you don't mind, send me a message on the Contact form at the top of the website and I'll reply with my email, so you can send me your configuration (if that's okay). Just zip everything up under %appdata%\Avian Waves\RD Tabs

Passwords are encrypted with a private key managed by Windows so there's no way for me to decrypt that.

After installing the updated version all seems to be responding well. I did also install at home and have seen no further issues.
