Since this is my first post, I'll also post my "thanks" here. I'm a long-time "Remote Desktops Console" user (from the Server 2003 Admin Pack). I even went as far as to figure out how to edit the .msc file directly to rename the individual "Remote Desktops" snap-in sections to something more useful, like Client names, thus acting much like a favorites folder. I recently upgraded to Vista x64 at home and even doing all of the manual DLL registration, I simply couldn't get the RD Console to work. So I did some random Googling, stumbled across RD Tabs and figured I'd give it a shot. After about 10 minutes, I was hooked and I'm not going back. I even turned one of my co-workers onto it this morning and we both already have our hundreds of RD connections configured and exported/imported into each others configs.

Well, I'm pretty stoked with the whole product, so I won't even bother to go in to which features I love the most, but I have noticed one strange thing and I figured I'd mention it.

What my coworker an I are both seeing (one of us on XP and one on Vista x86) is that if you have two or more favorites already setup and you select them (or the folder) and do a batch edit, then check the Username and Password options to make them active, don't fill in anything (so they are still active but blank), wait about 10 seconds and hit CANCEL, it will still actually blank out those settings when you go edit one of those favorites individually. I even tested the same thing except I filled-in the Username field, waited a few seconds and hit CANCEL again, and it did actually change the Username in those favorites, even though I hit CANCEL and not SAVE. I don't know if it affects other options, those were the only two we messed with.

I forget where I was reading it, but in another post of yours you did mention that there was a small bug in an IF statement in an earlier version that was causing something to apply itself instead of asking for something (sorry, I'm not a programmer). I'm curious if this is the same kind of thing? Oh, we're using the latest 2.1.15 version.

Anyway, sincerely, thanks again for this application. It's so much more robust than the MS RD Console and I'm a HUGE fan of this. Let me know if you need any more information about the issue I'm talking about and I'll do what I can to explain better.

Thanks again!!

I was successfully able to replicate the issue, so I am going to look into the code now and see if I can figure out what's going on. Good catch! I imagine there's something in the cancel code that's not "taking" when in batch mode as opposed to standard editing mode. Not sure why, but it's late and it's time for bed. :-)

I'll post more in a day or two when I figure out how to fix this.

Thanks, again, for bringing this issue to my attention. Try 2.1.16 and see if you can still reproduce the error. I think I have fixed it.
