I have another suggestion to this amazing software, not sure if it's aligned with your intentions Timothy, but anyway...

I already work with other "remote access" software that has the feature of allow VNC protocol connections. You know, in some scenarios, can be desireable access remotely a machine, even when you don't or can't do it by RDP protocol.

Considering that the VNC protocol is widely known and is a open format, maybe you can add this feature.

As I mentioned before, just suggestions.

Best regards,

vandyk

I'm thinking about it. This protocol has been brought up a couple times in a different thread where I asked this very question. I need to come up with a clean way to add it. I'll keep everybody updated on the progress. It won't be for a few versions, though.

I'd recommend looking at this these two projects: one was to get VNCViewer to work on IPv6; the other is a VNC client coded in C#

I'd also vote for VNC/SSH as well. I think RD tabs is great and would love to see it an all-in-one solution. You might look This  project for some ideas.

RD Tabs will eventually support those protocols. VNC, SSH, and Telnet seem to be the most popular for Windows Admins after RDP. I am still looking for a Telnet/SSH library I can use in RD Tabs. If anybody can point me towards one, that would be awesome.

We use an product based on rdp with compression and latency reducing tricks. Its Ericom Blaze, and its a big help for some of our high latency users. I would love to be able to wrap everyone up in RD Tabs.
